For a long lifespan, we recommend hand washing with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Then simply air dry. Washing machines and dryers should be avoided.

The lifespan depends on the area of application and the intensity of use. Many customers use their BÄRENPRANKE® for many months or even several seasons. Even if signs of wear (fraying) appear at the finger openings over time, the protective function usually remains effective for a long time.

The BÄRENPRANKE® is made of high-quality, durable materials and is designed for regular use. For a long service life, we recommend observing the care instructions and cleaning the BÄRENPRANKE® regularly.

Important: Please do not rely on your glove size, as it is not directly comparable with our sizes. For the BÄRENPRANKE®, finger measurements are crucial – not the entire hand size.

S–M

• Often suitable for delicate hands and narrower fingers.
  
• Often chosen by women with rather fine hands and fingers.
  

L–XL

• Suitable for average-sized hands and for fingers with a normal to slightly stronger circumference.
  
• This is the right size range for many women and most men.
  

2XL–3XL

• Recommended for larger hands or fingers with a stronger circumference.
  
• Often chosen by men with larger or stronger hands and fingers.
  

4XL

• For very large hands or fingers with a significantly larger circumference.
  

Are you between two sizes?

Our tip: If you are between two sizes or are unsure, choose the larger size. The Bärenpranke should fit comfortably and not cut in, so that it can optimally fulfill its function. If the size chosen is too small, it will even have the opposite effect.

Note: The size S–M was developed for smaller or narrower hands and is too small for most men. Usually, L–XL is the right choice. If in doubt, we always recommend the larger size.

Yes. The BÄRENPRANKE® relieves heavily stressed areas of the hand and can therefore help reduce pressure points as well as tingling or numb hands during the ride. Individual perception may vary depending on the rider and area of use.

Yes. The BÄRENPRANKE® was developed to reduce friction and pressure on the palms of the hands. It acts as a protective padding between the hand and handlebars or grip, thus helping to prevent blisters, pressure points, and uncomfortable stress – especially on longer rides.

Fine material residues may loosen during the production process when first used. Therefore, slight black abrasion may occur on the skin, especially at the finger openings.

These residues are completely harmless, can be easily removed with soap and water, and do not affect the function or quality of the BÄRENPRANKE®.

For an optimal start, we recommend briefly hand-washing the BÄRENPRANKE® once before first use.
