The BÄRENPRANKE® CURB is the consistent further development of our proven BÄRENPRANKE® AIR² – designed for the special demands of the racetrack.

While the AIR² was developed for touring, country roads, and everyday use, the CURB was created in close cooperation with racers. Over several years, it was tested and continuously refined on racetracks worldwide, at track days, in various racing series, and at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The CURB adopts the proven pressure distribution of the AIR² and extends it with a decisive advantage for racetrack use: the integrated hand edge protection.

During extreme lean angles and high loads, the outer edge of the hand often presses against the handlebars or the handlebar end protector. This is precisely where the CURB provides additional protection, dampening pinpoint loads and protecting the hand edge from pressure points and injuries.

The result is a hand protector specifically developed for the extreme demands of the racetrack, reliably protecting your hands – for maximum control and full concentration from the first to the last turn.

Yes. The BÄRENPRANKE® CURB was specially developed to be worn under close-fitting motorcycle gloves.

It fits under common racing gloves from leading manufacturers such as Alpinestars, Dainese, Held, FIVE, RST, IXS and many more.

You can also find a size chart on each product page so you can choose the right size.

During the production process, fine material residues may detach during the first use. Especially at the finger openings, slight black smudges may therefore appear on the skin.

These residues are completely harmless, can be easily removed with soap and water, and do not affect the function or quality of the BÄRENPRANKE®.

For an optimal start, we recommend briefly hand-washing the BÄRENPRANKE® before its first use.

Important: Please do not rely on your glove size, as it is not directly comparable to our sizes. For the BÄRENPRANKE®, finger measurements are crucial.

Note for Race Track Riders

The CURB was specifically developed for sporty use. Many riders prefer a snug fit on the racetrack, as the oval finger openings provide additional grip, offer a particularly direct feel, and are suitable for a firm hold.

Therefore, for the CURB, size S–M is often chosen by men, especially by riders with narrower or athletically trained hands.

Do you prefer the tightest, sportiest fit possible? Then you can base your choice on your measured size.

Are you between two sizes or would you like a little more freedom of movement? Then we recommend the larger size.

The BÄRENPRANKE® CURB was developed for intensive use on the racetrack. Depending on driving style, frequency of use, and stress, it typically lasts through many racing events and accompanies numerous drivers even over several seasons.

Our experience shows: With weekly use, a set usually lasts for about a year before a replacement makes sense.

Over time, the finger openings may show slight signs of wear or small fraying. This is normal wear and tear and does not initially affect the function of the BÄRENPRANKE®.

However, for maximum protection, optimal fit, and accustomed comfort, we recommend replacing the CURB with a new set at the latest when wear is clearly visible.

The BÄRENPRANKE® CURB is Made in Germany from a specially developed high-performance material, originally derived from applications in aerospace technology.

The material combines high resilience with excellent wearing comfort and was specifically chosen to meet the demands of the racetrack.

It reliably absorbs sweat, distributes moisture within the material, and then dries quickly. This ensures that the wearing comfort remains pleasant even at high temperatures and during multiple turns.

For a long lifespan, we recommend regularly cleaning the BÄRENPRANKE® CURB by handwashing. This gently removes sweat, dirt, and deposits without stressing the material.
